On an ordinary day, in an extraordinary situation, the passengers of Bus No. 13 are facing death. Is any of them on that bus by mistake?


To make ends meet, Gjergj, a retired military officer, crashes from funeral to funeral. He neither knows the departed, nor their family members. And so he lives a poor life, eating free of charge in dinners and in other public events. His only consolation is a stray dog that can make him smile.

Leli, a man in his forties, tired and depressed from his life in New York City, returns to the city of his birth, Tirana. Unhappy in his ten-year marriage, he decides to live without his wife in the bustle of Tirana’s nightclubs and pubs.

A constant voice accompanies him in each moment of the day. It is his wife, Ela, whom he has left behind in NYC. Passionate sexual relations with a woman in her forties and his relationship with a 25-year-old lower the number of anti-depressants that Leli takes.

This continues until the day Ela returns , destroying the balance in his life and, through the constraints she succeeds in placing on him, she ruins the relationship, making Leli submit to the status quo of a linear marital relationship where the term “love” is long forgotten.

This is based in a true story from the 70’s.A women escaping from Kosovo because of the persecution, to go in her motherland Albania, but to only find the same regime and to be persecuted even from Albanian government. She ended up being a foreigner in both sides of the border, and suffering the death of her son.
